Ashland Insurance is thrilled to welcome Sam Blisard to our team. Just as our community continues to grow, so do we, and man are we excited for each new member we are bringing onto our team.

Hence why we always get a bit giddy to introduce you to those that are joining us. 

So, without further ado, meet Sam Blisard! 

Who is Sam Blisard?

Just as so many of us do, Sam comes with a story of experience that makes him unique in what he brings to the table. 

In spending time working in construction, Sam discovered his love to create and to build the sorts of things that just work

Sam’s experience in construction has played a role in shaping his approach to much of his life, including his time in insurance. He brings a unique perspective to his work, drawing on his skills as a builder to construct the right policies, with the right tailored solutions for his clients.

Sam’s passion for building extends beyond physical structures. He also enjoys building relationships with his clients, fostering trust, and understanding through open communication and personalized attention. By combining his constructive nature with his insurance expertise, Sam is able to create custom policies that not only protect his clients but also empower them to make informed decisions about their financial future.

A Focus on Protecting What Matters Most

At the start of Sam’s journey into insurance, he began with Final Expense and Life Insurance offered over the phone to those that may need it. This experience was the next step in shaping the very agent we get to welcome on our team. 

Final Expense Insurance, sometimes known as funeral or burial insurance, is considered a whole life insurance policy with a death benefit. This death benefit is designed to cover the expenses associated with end of life fees, from funerary arrangements to associated preparations in celebrating a life that has passed. 

An immensely beneficial and important coverage to have, Sam started to understand the connection needed that can ease into the understanding of not only what the policy is and can do, but also how much it can help the demographic he often found himself chatting with over the phone.

Sam’s early experience selling Final Expense and Life Insurance over the phone taught him the importance of personalized service. He quickly realized that many older individuals were being underserved by traditional insurance companies, often facing confusing policies and high-pressure sales tactics.

Determined to make a difference, Sam dedicated himself to providing honest, transparent advice to his clients. He focused on understanding their unique needs and finding affordable, comprehensive coverage that truly protected their future. This experience instilled in Sam a deep sense of responsibility to advocate for his clients and ensure they were getting the best possible service.

One big missing piece? Getting to engage with his clients face to face. 

After 4 months conducting these sales over the phone, he quickly realized, “I can do more and I can help a lot more people.”

And with that, Sam focused on finding a local agency, making it easier to plug in with the folks around town. To Sam, face to face is just a lot more wholesome

With Ashland Insurance, Sam has stepped into working with Health Insurance and Life Insurance. A clear continuation of his previous work, Sam is certified in Medicaid and Medicare to ensure his clients are getting the right credits and the right coverage. 

Looking forward, though, Sam is acquiring this Property and Casualty Insurance licensing, as well as moving into the realm of commercial offerings. There is something satisfying to Sam considering each client could have one agent that knows and covers all the bases with them– from life to business ownership, auto to home. 

In all, Sam Blisard is looking forward to helping those in the community he’s been a part of since 2014. Being a component of our town and our region, he knows the struggles so many are facing with increasing insurance costs associated with the now all-too-familiar fire dangers. 

For Sam, he knows that though we may all share a zip code or a familiar view of the mountains around us, there is still no one size fits all kind of coverage needed for each person. 

In saying he wants to “find what fits” is not just a buzzword for him; it comes from the heart. 

“I like to listen and understand people because everybody has a different situation. One thing can work for one person, but not for another.”
